One of the challenges for new parents that make them hesitate to bring the baby out is the convenience. What if they poop, hungry, vomit etc at shopping malls .. you might think it’s gonna be a nightmare. Yup! of course it’s uncontrollable and the babies might be having their bad days (and yes it would be bad days for us parents too) but there are a lot of nice facilities out there at many malls in BKK and vicinity areas, especially the new ones. Although the concept of breastfeeding or nursing rooms are not promoted enough in Thailand and you might find it quite difficult to find these info even on websites of some shopping malls themselves. That’s one of the problems I had too in my first few months trying to get our little girl to go out to get away from the boredom of staying home! :p
So here are some of the breastfeeding/ nursing rooms I have tried in the past 2 years with my reviews and pictures of useful facilities they provide. Well overall they’re not that bad! Although we are still far from very baby friendly cities like Singapore or Japan, I would say many newly opened malls have done their job quite well in providing facilities to make moms and dads’ lives much easier to bring our babies & kids out to enjoy our family time outside home.
